Who are our guest speakers?

Kristina Jamo is a lover of movement and has always felt drawn towards assisting others in their personal healing journeys. Kristina graduated with a bachelors in Kinesiology/Exercise Science, before going on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of New England in Portland, Maine. Kristina became a yoga instructor and reiki practitioner to allow others to live out their personal healing stories through connection with the mind, body, and soul. Kristina blends her experience as a physical therapist, yoga instructor, and reiki practitioner to allow for a deep connection to both the physical & energetic anatomy. She will share her love of meditation and discuss the benefits of incorporating it into our daily lives to help us live our best life. We will experience collective healing through guided meditation.

Brooke Michaels is a born entrepreneur and people of all ages are drawn to her adventurous spirit! She started making and designing her own jewelry when she was just 13! In addition to continuing to make jewelry in college, she also fell in love with yoga. At 19 years old she started selling her handmade creations and practicing yoga daily. She decided to become a certified yoga instructor and married her two loves. Brooke opened her own Boutique / Yoga studio in 2018. She is also a Reiki healer and has extensive knowledge about the healing power of crystals. Brooke will be showing us how we can incorporate the healing properties of crystals into our daily lives. This will be a fun and enlightening experience for all.

Movement

  • Plan and schedule a minimum of 3 Breathe classes per week.
  • Plan and schedule at least 30 minutes of movement for the other days in the week (household chores, yard work or running errands do NOT count).
  • Combine your daily movement goal with something you love and it will be way more enjoyable! Walking your dog, hiking with friends, playing your favorite sport or family walks are all great ways to get your 30 minutes in!

Nutrition

  • We need to remind our bodies how much it loves clean, organic fruits, veggies and whole foods.
  • Practice mindful eating. We will track what we eat, when we eat, how it makes us feel and what we are thinking about when we eat.
  • You will notice fluctuation in your energy levels when you work out based on your nutrition, changes in the quality of your sleep and your moods. You will be able to identify which foods work well for your body and what you are trying to accomplish. You will identify patterns and create healthy habits that are just right for you!
  • Join us for a 3 day or 5 day Breathe Detox¹ with Joust beginning January 10th – 14th. Spots will be limited, so don’t wait to sign up! It is the perfect compliment to the RESET.

Goals

  • Identify what you want to get out of the Reset program.
  • Set a few goals that align with what you want to work towards throughout the 4 weeks.
    Choose at least one movement goal (e.g. hold a plank), one nutrition goal (e.g. eat more veggies) and at least one happiness goal (e.g. finally read that book next to your bed).
  • Think about how you can measure these goals and if you need to ask for help to achieve them.
    →e.g. Try to hold your plank once per day to measure progress and ask your instructor for tips on how to break down the plank into separate parts so you can work towards your goal.
    →e.g. Plan to eat 2-3 servings of veggies per day. Ask for recommendations on easy ways to incorporate them into your snacks and meals.
    →e.g. Aim to read 4 nights per week for 15-30 minutes and ask your spouse or the kids to help with chores around the house. 

Community

  • All Resetters will meet once per week in the evening at Breathe Studio. We will livestream all meetings. 
  • We will dive deeper into how movement, nutrition, mindfullness (affirmations, meditation) and community will impact our happiness.
  • We will discuss in detail how to set goals, taking first steps towards making progress, how to stay on the right track and how to make adjustments along the way.
  • We will hold space for you to share your experience, celebrate wins, discuss challenges and relate to others, make friends, provide tips and support one another.
  • Optional weekend pop-up activities will be announced for this group (hike, yoga, etc…)
  • Join our What’s App group so you can chat / check-in 24/7 with group members to continue (when we are not together) to share ideas tips, vent, celebrate wins, etc…We will send invites to the group after the enrollment window closes.

Affirmations

  • Create positive affirmations for yourself.
    This will help provide emotional support and encouragement from the person who should love you most – YOU!
  • Say them aloud and repeat them daily or even multiple times per day
    e.g. I am strong, I am a great mom, I am a loyal friend, I am capable, I eat well and I exercise regularly, I learn from my mistakes, I am confident, I am in charge.

Meditation

  • Participate in at least one weekly guided meditation or any form of meditation of your choice. We will be providing guided meditation as part of this RESET group.
  • Meditation is a practice where you are training your mind to focus on a particular thought or activity. This can increase awareness, reduce stress, achieve mental clarity and an emotionally calm state.

Accountability

  • Let’s help each other meet our goals because we all deserve to live our best life!
  • Share your goals with friends and family so that they can help support you and also keep you accountable!
  • We will give you some ideas and strategies to ensure you have a successful 4 weeks to jumpstart some lasting healthy habits.
    These strategies are designed to help you meet your goals, help you to create positive affirmations and guide you through short meditations.
  • Documenting your journey over the 4 weeks will not only help keep you accountable, but you will have something tangible to measure progress against your goals, gauge how the affirmation and meditation are impacting your success, develop an awareness for how food affects your mood, energy and performance.
  • We will provide you with tracking tools for you to use as a resource. 
  • Optional add on for additional cost: Individual health coaching to explore and experiment with different strategies, identify the root of behaviors, discuss your personal goals, challenges and everything in between.
